Drivers Ed Information

Drivers Ed Summer Session
Tues., May 29-approx Thurs., June 21
Group 1 from 8:00-10:00 a.m.
Group 2 from 10:00-12:00

Watch for the parent, student and instructor meeting later this spring to arrange driving times. Registration forms available at MS and HS principal office - due date is Fri., February 10 Must have a drivers permit by the first day of class. Cost: $300 ($150 due with registration, $150 due on or before the first day of class) Enrollment is limited.

School Cancellations

When school must be cancelled, delayed, or dismissed early due to inclement weather, or for any other reason, the Monticello Community School District contacts the following media outlets:

• WMT - AM 600

• KDST - FM 99.3

• KHAK - FM 98.1

• KMCH - FM 94.7

• KGAN - TV 2

• KWWL - TV 7

• KCRG - TV 9

The school district assumes no responsibility for the speed or accuracy with which the above media outlets make announcements.

The Monticello Community School District also posts announcements on Iowa School Alerts at schoolalerts.iowa.gov . This web site will allow you to sign up for e-mail notification of cancellations, delays, and early dismissals.
When delaying or cancelling classes we make a concerted effort to make a decision and inform School Alerts and the Media before 6:30 AM. Unfortunately, this is not always possible, so continue monitoring your source of information until the students are in school.
