Monticello Schools offers extended educational programing for students that need additional academic challenge. Our K-3 programming follows and enrichment model where the extended learning program teachers works in collaboration with the classroom teacher to support student academic needs in the classroom setting. In grades 4-8 programming follows a pull-out model where students attend classes for reading and/or math that are curriculum compacted and accelerated to support unique learning needs. In grades 9-12 students have a variety of Post Secondary Enrollment Option (PSEO) courses, Advanced Placement courses and online course offerings to choose from. Students also have the option of attending Academix meetings on a monthly basis. Academix meetings focus on college and career planning, scholarship, and academic challenge work.
