Announcements

  • It’s that time of year Class of 2026!   The Yearbook Staff need your senior photo and baby photo. Please email them to emily.marjoua@monticello.k12.ia.us or bring the photos to the office or Art room ASAP. If you haven’t gotten your senior photos taken yet,  set your appointment now.   A free option is to use the Halverson’s school picture day or picture retake day. Failure to use Halverson’s or submit a senior photo to Mrs. Marjoua before winter break will result in the use of your junior year school photo :/
  • Yearbooks are available in the front office for purchase and order pick up!!  There are only 5 copies left for purchase – so dust off your 75 bucks and get one before they’re gone.
  • The student council needs volunteers to sign up to participate in the activities during homecoming week. The Google Form to fill out if you want to participate can be found in their class Google Classroom. Activities will include basketball, tug-of-war, musical chairs, and more!

Also, in your class, Google Classroom is a form to fill out for suggestions of music you would like to hear played at the homecoming dance. Read all criteria before submitting songs.

  • Kirkwood’s Workplace Learning Connection Job Shadow Portal is open to all 10th – 12th grade students. This is a 2-4 hour excused absence from school that allows you to explore a career you are considering. Get information from professionals working in the field and learn about what training is required.  You are responsible for your transportation to the job shadow. Visit www.kirkwood.edu/wlc to get more information and to register. The registration deadline is Wednesday, Sept. 17th at 3pm.
