If your last name starts with the letter A through M, you will help clean the high school and middle school grounds. If your last name starts with the letter N through Z, you will help clean the disk golf area. Neither location requires a bus.

Congratulations to Alex Oswald who placed 7th in Personal Financial Management at the Business Professionals of America – National Leadership Conference in Dallas, TX. Congrats also to Becky Lang, River Smith, and Marisa Grant who also qualified and competed at nationals this past week.

Silver Service Opportunities:
A community member is looking for help cleaning out a duplex. If you are interested in earning Silver Service hours, please contact Sarah Schilling at 319-480-2265.
The July 4th parade committee is looking for volunteers to assist with this year’s parade and feel we have some good opportunities for students wanting to get some Silver Cord hours.
We need 3-4 (or more) cyclists to transport entry (information) cards to the viewing stand and we could use
6-8 more to assist with traffic control along the parade route.
Volunteers will earn 4 hours of serve and receive an official parade t-shirt in their size. Please email tosborne50@hotmail.com> if you are interested.

Extended Deadline Scholarships:
Helgens Family Memorial Scholarship
In memory of James Gordon Helgens, Vernon Helgens and Mary Louise Helgens. Any senior student is eligible to apply. Preference will be given to young men and women with financial need. Recipient must be ambitious and planning to pursue some type of post-secondary education. Applications can be found on the Scholarship web page linked from the HS counseling website.
Rotary/L. Greenawald Scholarship and the Rotary Scholarship
Two scholarships will be awarded – one for the Rotary/L.Greenawald and one for the Rotary Scholarship. Criteria includes involvement in Community Service, past academic achievement, citizenship, financial need, probability of success and character. Carter & Amber Kramer Scholarship – Two $5000 scholarships will be awarded to members of the Class of 2022 entering an accredited trade school. This scholarship is open to men or women who will be driven to excel in a trade. Based on positive contributions to society, problem solving skills, character development, collaborative skills and being a team player. Not determined by GPA but on their passion for learning. DEADLINE EXTENDED! Jacquie Lambert Memorial Scholarship – Applicant must be a Monticello senior planning to pursue a higher education in the nursing field. Must have at least a 2.0 GPA. Norma McDonell Scholarship
Applicant must be planning to enter a nursing program. Guidelines include being actively involved in volunteering, have a financial need and have a strong academic history.
