Well it looks like we still have a handful of cases at this time. We have two positive COVID cases and seven people with symptoms that may be COVID related. These numbers are still very low and they make up less than 1% of the staff and students in our school district. We will continue to monitor going forward and I would remind everyone to be cautious and continue to use universal precautions, such as hand washing, sneezing into your elbow, not sharing drinks or food, social distance when possible, etc.
With the increase in COVID cases over the last few weeks, I anticipate that these numbers will rise. School is done on June 3rd, which is four weeks away, and I am confident that we will make it to the end of the school year with minimal COVID issues. As always, please remember that if your child is sick, have them stay home. Even if it is not COVID, no one else wants to get sick this time of the year.
That is our update for this week, as always, please contact me if you have any questions. Thank you for your continued support of the Monticello Community School District.
