Hello all,
I just want to give you an update on our COVID numbers for this week. We currently have two positive COVID cases in K-12 (staff and students). We have about 11 cases (staff and students) that we are monitoring. That includes those in quarantine, waiting for COVID testing results, or out with COVID like symptoms. The number of staff and students we are monitoring is down 31 cases since last week.
As we move into spring break, we can really see what a difference a few weeks has made for us in terms of cases of COVID. As it continues to get warmer this spring and kids can be outside more, I am hopeful that helps our numbers to continue to stay low in our schools. If the last school year was any indication of what the 4th quarter will be like, we saw an extended time of little or no cases for the majority of the spring.
That is it for this week and, as always, please contact me if you have any questions. I hope you all have a wonderful spring break!!! Thank you for your continued support of the Monticello Community School District.
