Hello all,
I just want to give you an update on our COVID numbers for this week. We currently have 5 positive COVID cases K-12 (staff and students). That means that we have dropped 1 case from last week. We have about 45 cases (staff and students) that we are monitoring. That includes those in quarantine, waiting for COVID testing results, or out with COVID like symptoms. The number of staff and students we are monitoring is up 26 cases since last week.
Of the 45 cases we are monitoring, it is likely that they are a combination of COVID, Influenza-A, and a stomach bug that is going around. The numbers of students that are sick at the elementary schools are extremely high right now. We have had more than 10% of the kids out at each elementary on more than one day over the last two weeks. As always, if your child is sick, keep them home.
That is it for this week and as always please contact me if you have any questions. Thank you for your continued support of the Monticello Community School District.
