A Job Shadow presentation is scheduled in the auditorium on Tuesday, September 7 at 9:45 for juniors and seniors.
Juniors and seniors interested in a job shadow should apply here by Wednesday, September 22nd. Experience a job in person (virtual options also available) for 2-4 hours through Workplace Learning Connection’s Job Shadow program!

On September 14th the Monticello Panther volleyball team will be hosting the Cascade Cougars. The two teams have come together to raise money for the Austin Strong Inclusive Playground by selling t-shirts! 40% of every shirt sold will be donated! Show your support by ordering a shirt on the link. Panther fans in black and the Cougar fans will be in gold! The store is open today through September 6th. No late orders can be accepted, so don’t wait! Please see the attached flyer.

Junior and Senior girls wanting to participate in the Powder Puff game need to pick up a permission form. The forms are available at the office drive-up window and need turned in to the office by Friday, September 10th.
Mouth guards are required for girls wanting to play – if you need one see Mr. Lambert.

Homecoming tickets will be sold during lunch starting Tuesday, September 7 through Friday, September 10. Tickets are $5 per person.
The Homecoming Parade and Coronation will be held on Monday, Sept 13th. Parade line up will start at 5:30 in the pool parking lot and the Parade will begin at 6:00. Coronation will be at the football field 6:45. If weather conditions are not favorable the coronation will be held in the High School Gymnasium at 6:45. The Junior/Senior Girls Powder Puff game will begin at 7:00. The Junior/Senior Boys Ironman Volleyball game will begin at 8:00 in the high school gym.
If you are bringing a guest from another school district, you need to register your guest in the office AND fill out a guest registration form, which is available at the office drive-up window. If you are bringing a guest that has graduated, you must register your guest in the office and do not need a registration form.
The Homecoming Dance will be on Saturday, September 18th in the High School commons from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
Silver Service Opportunity:
Ohnward Bank and Trust is looking for a Junior or Senior student part-time employee.
Hours: work afternoons during the week 1:00 to 5:00 and Saturday mornings 9:00 to11:30 every Saturday. The weekday hours could have some flexibility too.
Duties: Teller work – process deposits from our customers, cashing checks, making change for our business customers, take any request for maintenance changes so they could be updated in our system by staff, wrapping coin, etc. Contact Suzan Ehlers by calling Phone: 319-465-6173 Ext 3213.

Iowa College Aid is hosting a series of Zoom workshops to help students and parents create their FSA ID before the FAFSA opens! Encourage your students to attend one of our live events to complete their FSA ID. Attendees will need a computer or mobile device to access the website and create their FSA ID. Workshops begin Wednesday, September 8th and will go through Thursday, September 16. The Zoom links and session times are listed in the Student Resources section. Please promote these events as you see fit via social media, announcements, emails, fliers, etc.
