Student Bulletin Friday, April 16 Day 2
Students in Grades 9 – 11 will be ISASP testing on Tuesday and Thursday next week (April 19-23) and on Tuesday and Thursday the following week (April 26-30). Be sure to bring your fully charged Chromebook to school!!! And be sure to eat a good breakfast and get plenty of sleep! See the attached adjusted schedules.
Seniors — You are not expected to be in class on those days until 10:00 or 10:30. See each schedule.
All Students — It is your responsibility to be on time for testing and to be on time for all of your classes.
If you have any questions, please talk to your classroom teachers.
Juniors are able to sign up for a free Nurse Aide course this summer. Students must be able to attend 4-5 sessions in Hiawatha in addition to the Zoom sessions. Call 465-2302 if interested by April 22nd.
JUNIORS AND SENIORS — DOUBLE CHECK THE PROM SIGN-UP PAGES ON THE OFFICE COUNTER. IF YOU HAVE A RED X BY YOUR NAME, YOU ARE GOOD TO GO FOR PROM. ALL STUDENTS AND ALL GUESTS MUST BE SIGNED UP IN THE OFFICE. GUEST REGISTRATION FORMS ARE DUE TO THE HIGH SCHOOL OFFICE BY 12:00 NOON TODAY.
Grand March will be held inside the auditorium due to the weather. Be prepared for a fun and entertaining event with Abby Jaeger and Craig Stadtmueller as your announcers. Doors open at 3:30, check-in begins at 3:45 sharp. Masks required. See you all there!
Parent donations of food/drink can be dropped off after you come to Grand March in the high school commons. Students/parents/community can drop off donations at the District Office or the HS Office. Check our Monticello Post Prom Facebook page for up-to-date information.
This year’s Post Prom Party will be held at the High School commons area, gym, auditorium, and wrestling room. This year’s entertainment is filled with a variety of activities. We have something for everyone! We will be serving snacks and drinks and will have a prize for each MHS Junior and Senior that attends after our entertainment finishes. The events will start at 11:00 pm. We are asking for students to arrive no later than 12:00 am. Doors will lock at 12:00 am and will end approximately at 1:30 am. Masks are required for Post Prom.

Helgens Family Memorial Scholarship – In memory of James Gordon Helgens, Vernon Helgens, and Mary Louise Helgens. Any senior student is eligible to apply. Preference will be given to young men and women with financial need. Recipient must be ambitious and planning to pursue some type of post-secondary education. JAKS Scholarship – Deadline has been extended! This scholarship isoffered to graduating seniors who are interested in continuing their education in an Engineering or Education field.
