02/12/21 ElementaryFriday Bulletinfrom Mr. Folken, Elementary Principal NEXT WEEKMonday: Presidents’ DayWednesday: 12 PM Dismissal ELEMENTARY PLANS FOR WEDNESDAY MORNINGSOur teaching staff looked at several ideas on the best possible way to provide specials and lunch on Wednesdays. We decided on 30-minute specials and box lunches. This plan allows us to maximize our specials instructional time by shortening our lunch period. Shannon students will have specials in the early morning, and Carpenter students will have specials in the later morning. Box Lunch Schedule: Shannon School (students will eat in the gym)Kindergarten: 10:45-11:05 amFirst Grade: 11:15-11:35 am Carpenter School (students will eat in their classrooms)Second Grade & Fourth Grade: Will pick up lunches on a cycle starting at 11 am.Third Grade: Will pick up lunches at the conclusion of their specials at 11:25 am. Students will begin dismissing to buses at 11:55 am. Car riders and walkers will dismiss shortly afterward once buses are gone. We will try this plan out and see how it works. If we find it necessary to adjust the times slightly, we will do that.
