HAPPY THANKSGIVING!
With Thanksgiving coming up this next week, it should be a timely reminder for us to be thankful for what’s important in our lives. This year has been tough for everyone, so it will be as important as ever for us to reflect and share our gratitude with those that are close to us. I wish for all of you a happy (and safe) Thanksgiving.
For those wanting to learn more about safely celebrating Thanksgiving this year, I’m including the CDC Guidance: Celebrating Thanksgiving
FREE DESKS / CHAIRS (a message from Heather Weers)
With virtual learning now taking place around Jones County and other obstacles that students are having to face, the Jones County Family Council would like to provide free desks and chairs for any student that needs one (while supplies last). The application is open to any students/families in Jones County. There are no restrictions or guidelines. The link for the application is below:
Our goal is to have the desks delivered or picked up within a week of when the application is submitted. The last day to apply for the desk and chair is December 7th. Attached are pictures of what the desk and chair will be comparable to.
Please feel free to reach out with any questions or concerns.

Jones County Coordinator for
DECAT/Community Partnerships for Protecting Children/Family Council
PLEASE CONTINUE WITH SCHOOL COMMUNICATION
Parents/guardians, please continue to reach out to your school nurses if you or your student are diagnosed with COVID-19. They will be happy to answer questions and assist you with determining your student’s return to school date.
