Attention girls’ basketball 9 – 12 there will be a sign up meeting Thursday, November 5 in Coach Kremer’s room at 3:15.

All students must wear a mask when entering the building. Please put your mask on before you enter the building.
National Honor Society members are selling panther spirit bracelets during lunch to raise money for NHS pins. Please stop by their table at lunch to purchase yours for $1/bracelet!
This year MHS will be celebrating Veteran’s Day virtually. If you would like to participate you can either submit a photo or video of you with a vet you’d like to honor. Or we have students who will come take a photo or video of you. Contact Mr. Hospo if you’d like to participate.
Seniors: Turn in senior and baby pictures by email to Mrs. Woodhouse or to the office window. Label on the back if turning in a hard copy. The last day to turn one in is Dec. 18. Click the link below if you aren’t sure whether you have turned yours in yet.

Counselor’s Office News:
All students, especially seniors, should be checking out the Scholarship webpage linked from the MHS Counseling website. Scholarship season is starting and information and applications will begin to be posted. Past scholarship applications are listed to help you research the ones you want to apply for – look at the old applications to get an idea of how to answer questions and essays then watch for the updated application. Watch for deadlines and how to submit the applications. Also check out the Counseling Announcements for information on colleges, college visits and contacts plus other counseling information.
College representatives will be arranging virtual college visits with our school this year. See a list of the scheduled colleges and a link to the Zoom meeting by visiting here. More will be added as they schedule with us.
Sophomores and juniors are invited to attend an informational Zoom session about Kirkwood classes Wednesday, November 4th at 6:00 pm. During this meeting you will learn all about the college credit opportunities and skilled technical training opportunities in the fields of: Welding, Automotive Technology, Construction (including plumbing, Electrical, & Sheet metal), CNC Manufacturing, Robotics, Engineering, Computer Programming, Graphics technology, Hospitality & Hotel Management, Certified Nurse Aid Certification, and EMT. Christina Hixson Opportunity Award – Applicant must demonstrate financial need and has faced challenges of personal or financial hardship.
