CONGRATULATIONS TO MRS. HOSPODARSKY
You may recall from last fall that Aimee Hospodarsky was named the Iowa Elementary School Counselor of the Year. From that small group of honored counselors, Mrs. Hospodarsky has now been named the Iowa School Counselor of the Year.
Aimee, congratulations and thank you for all you do for our students, staff, and community!
PARENT – TEACHER CONFERENCES
Elementary Fall Conferences looked and felt very different this past week. The buildings were much quieter. The book fair was online. There was no traffic in and out of the buildings. This was definitely not what we are used to seeing during conference week.
However, I heard many positives about how conferences went. I think many of the reasons to have conferences were still accomplished, such as checking in, discussing social and academic progress, broadening home-school partnerships, etc.
The transition to virtual conferences definitely took extra preparation from many teachers and parents, and I thank all of you for the extra efforts to make the most of our parent-teacher conference time.
