The MHS Student of the Month for October is Hannah Chapman! Congratulations Hannah! She has made a commitment to doing her best in high school, living healthy, and making herself happy. She’s been really self-motivated to make a change for the better.

Do you love sports? Are you interested in a career in sports/recreation? On November 5th during WIN, we will have a guest speaker from the University of Iowa’s Sport and Recreation Management Program. See Mrs. Sconsa to sign up.
Seniors: Senior pictures and baby pictures for yearbook are due Dec. 18. Because these are new guidelines, any senior pictures already taken this year that fall outside the new guidelines will be considered on a case by case basis and would need administrator approval to be used. Thank you.
The following are new GUIDELINES FOR SENIOR PHOTOS FOR YEARBOOK:
Head and shoulders only.
Clothing should conform to school dress code.
Not posed in a reclined position.
No other people, animals, objects/props in photograph.
Color or B/W are acceptable.
Submit digitally or write name on back if submitting a hard copy.
Must be received by deadline (before winter break of senior year)
Can be emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org or can be turned in to office window.
Baby photos are optional but must also be submitted by the deadline. Copies are preferred to original heirloom photos. Baby pictures not submitted digitally should be labeled on the back with first and last names.
Community Service Opportunities:
Nick Thumma is looking for help at the Carpenter Concert scheduled for Monday, December 2nd in the high school gym. Contact Mr. Thumma at email@example.com if you’d like to earn silver service hours.

November 11th – A rep from Hawkeye Community College will be in the commons during lunch shifts. Stop by and say hi and ask any questions you may have.
