Congratulations to the MHS Volleyball Team for winning the River Valley Conference Championship.

Congratulations to the Monticello Panther Marching Band for receiving a 2 at State Contest and take 2nd place out of 13 at the Wilton Festival of Bands this weekend.

 

ATTENTION SENIORS – VERY IMPORTANT – The diploma list is posted on the office drive-up window.  PLEASE check your name to be sure that it is the way you want it on your diploma AND how it will be read at your graduation ceremony.  PLEASE speak directly with Mrs. Ralston and let her know that yes, it is okay, or no, that it needs changed.   Diplomas will be ordered Wednesday with the names spelled as Mrs. Ralston has them.

 

The Monticello Express and Shoppers’ Guide is challenging all businesses in the Monticello area to help support Breast Cancer Awareness Month for October.   ALL STAFF AND STUDENTS are encouraged to wear PINK this Wednesday, October 11th.  Pete Temple from the Express will be here to take a picture of everyone wearing pink at 8:00 am in the gym.  Mrs. Ralston will be collecting donations the day of the picture for those wanting to make a donation to the fight against breast cancer.

 

Good luck to our Panther Dance Team as they are getting ready for their 1st competition of the season this Saturday at Stack the Stands at Cedar Rapids Prairie.

 

Silver Service Opportunity — Nick Thumma is looking for students willing to help with the Elementary Concert on December 5th.  Students are needed to hand out programs (5:00-6:15), help collect food items (4:45-6:30), and help set-up (3:30-4:30).

 

Silver Service Opportunity – An elderly person from our community is looking for help with yard work this fall.  Please see Mrs. Ralston for contact information if you are interested.

 

School Counselor’s Office:

A UNI rep will be in the Counselor’s Office on Thursday, October 12th at 9:00 am.
