SENIORS:  Senior and baby pictures are due for yearbook BEFORE WINTER BREAK!  They cannot be accepted late.  Turn in to the office or Mrs. Woodhouse.  Label them on the back with your name or email them to Mrs. Woodhouse as a .jpg attachment.

 

Ann-Kathrin Henseler was a foreign exchange student here at MHS last year.  Her yearbook is in the office drive-up window if you would like to sign it before it is sent to her.  Please sign by Friday afternoon.

 

If you do not have a signed form to use district computers, stop by the library to get a form.  All forms are due before Oct. 6.  After that your accounts will be disabled until the forms are in.

 

Homecoming dance tickets will be sold during lunch this week.  The cost is $5/person.

 

Dress-Up Days this week — Tomorrow is Character/Twin Day, and Friday is Panther Pride Day.

 

On Friday, September 29th there will be a Homecoming Pep Rally at 2:45 in the High School gymnasium.  Between the JV and Varsity football games, the Homecoming Court and their parents will be presented.  The Homecoming Dance will be on Saturday, September 30th in the High School commons from 8:00 pm to 11:00 pm.

 

If you have invited a guest to the homecoming dance who is not currently a Monticello High School student, you must register your guest in the office by Fri, Sept 29.   A Dance Guest Registration form must be completed and turned in.

 

The Monticello Public Library will be hosting a celebration of children’s author Mo Willems on Saturday, October 7 from 10:30am to 12noon.  They are getting costumes for the two most popular characters in his books, Elephant & Piggie, and are in need of someone to wear the costumes and interact with the kids at the event.  Please contact Penny at the library at 319-465-3354 or email pschmit@monticello.lib.ia.us.

 

 

 

School Counselor’s Office:

An Upper Iowa University rep will be in the Counselor’s office on Thursday, September 28th at 9:00 am.

 

 

 

Today’s Lunch:    Breaded pork/bun, seasoned potato cubes, baked beans, diced peaches, & milk.
