There will be a meeting for all 10th & 11th graders and parents on Monday, December 4th at 7:00 p.m. to learn about taking Advanced Placement, Kirkwood Academies, Concurrent Enrollment, and PSEO Courses during your Junior and/or Senior year. This meeting will be held in the High School Auditorium. Lots of information will be presented, please plan on attending!

Parent Teacher Conferences are scheduled for Monday, December 4th from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.

Congratulations to Carter Cruise for being chosen as MHS November Student of the Month.  Carter holds doors for others, helps straighten up classrooms and put away computers, and was a model of good sportsmanship during XC season when he congratulated students from all schools and age groups after their races.

Christmas is around the corner and there are so many kids who would love Christmas presents. Interact Club would like to see how many toys Monticello High School Students can donate. There will be a box outside of the office to put your new toys in! These items do need to be new and in their original packaging. Ideas could be as simple as stocking stuffers, board games, or stuffed animals. To make things even better bring a toy on the morning of December 5th and get a free drink at the Coffee Shack. Coffee Shack will be open from 7:30-8:05.
Silver Service Hours opportunity — Mr. Thumma needs help setting up the gym for his Elementary concert on December 5th.   Students will be setting up the risers and chairs, and hanging artwork in the hallway.  Contact Mr. Thumma if you’d like to lend a hand.

SENIORS! It is just over three weeks until winter break.  Senior pictures and baby pictures for Yearbook must be turned in before winter break!  Pictures cannot be accepted late.  Get them turned in now!  List is posted by the gym. Put your name on the back.

Reminder that donation jars are set up in the library for No Shave November.   All of the money from the jars will be donated to MDA.  No Shave November ends tomorrow!

Internship applications are now being accepted for Summer and Fall 2018.  See Mrs. Stenger if you need the website to apply.

The High School Student Council is putting on a Food Drive to help the Monticello Food Pantry.  Our goal as a school is to bring in 1,000 items between November 27th and December 8th.  Items needed are cleaning supplies, paper products, and food items.  Items may be dropped off in Mrs. Maher’s room.   Any basketball fan that brings 4 items to the basketball games on December 1st will get free admission.   Please be giving this season.

Monticello Pawpcorn will be selling Secret Santa Pawpcorn on Thursday and Friday during lunch or you can purchase your Pawpcorn in Mrs. Sandin’s room during WIN.  Each bag sells for $2.50.  They will be delivered the week of December 11th. It will be white chocolate popcorn with M&M’s and pretzels.
