Student Council will meet October 24 at 7:30 AM in Ms. Maher’s room.

 

Academic Awards is tomorrow at 9:10 am.  The program is listed outside the office.  10th-12th graders should check to see if your name is listed for recognition or award.  See Mrs. Dirks if you have any questions.  Plan on attending to receive your award.  Award winners only will be excused at 8:50 to go to the auditorium.  The students on the Most Improved GPA Qualifiers list do not have to be dismissed early unless they are award winners.

 

Boys interested in going out for basketball need to see Mr Lambert for information on team shoes.

 

Attention girls 9-12 interested in playing basketball, there will be a sign up meeting Friday at 3:15 in Coach Kremer’s Room.

 

Interact/SODA will meet tomorrow during WIN.

BPA will meet Friday, October 20th during WIN.

 

Need a chance to earn some Silver Service hours?  Any student who is interested in coaching or officiating for a youth basketball league, please contact the Director of Parks and Recreation, Jacob Oswald.  The league will begin November 6th and run through November 27th with games on Mondays at 5:30.  There will be a coaches’ meeting sometime next week (10/16-10/20), so contact Jacob as soon as possible.  You can stop in to the Berndes Center or email him at joswald@ci.monticello.ia.us or call him at 319-465-6640.

 

The Monticello High School Dance Show is on Saturday, October 21st at 1:00 pm in the High School Gym.  Admission is $5 and Co-Ed will be performing.  This is a fundraiser to get the dance team to Nationals in Florida in February so your support is appreciated.

Monticello high school dance team competed this past weekend in Cedar Rapids at stack the stands competition
All six soloists placed.  Fresh/soph category out of 41– 8 Madisan Birt, 7 Emma Brighton, 4 Ally Bartachek, 3 Anisa Krouse.  Junior /senior category out of 68– 10 Kate Tuetken, 8 Melissa Davis.  Panthers brought home 1st in jazz and 2nd in Pom.  Way to go girls
