Student Bulletin             Friday, October 11                                    Day 4

Attention students, SODA is sponsoring a carpool/walk/bike to school day Wed. Oct 16th.  If you walk or bike or carpool (that is 2 or more people in your vehicle) on Wednesday you will get to choose either a get out of lunch study table for a day or a go to the head of the lunch line certificate.  Also you carpoolers will get preferred parking in the first couple rows in the parking lot. Join SODA in working toward a cleaner environment and a less congested parking lot.

FFA will meet in the Ag room during WIN today.

Interact will meet in the Commons during WIN today.

The Academic Awards are scheduled for Tuesday, October 15th at 9:10 am in the auditorium.  The program is listed outside the office.  10th-12th graders should check to see if your name is listed for recognition or award.  See Mrs. Dirks if you have any questions.  Plan on attending to receive your award.  Award winners only will be excused at 8:50 to go to the auditorium.  The students on the Most Improved GPA Qualifiers list do not have to be dismissed early unless they are award winners.

Any senior wanting to graduate early must have their applications submitted to Mrs. Young TODAY.

SENIORS:   Senior and baby photos are due DEC. 18 for yearbook.   You can turn in to Mrs. Ralston or Mrs. Woodhouse.

TOWN HALL on Drugs & Alcohol in our community presented by the Jones County Safe & Healthy Youth Coalition on Tuesday, October 15 at 5:30-8pm at the National Motorcycle Museum, Anamosa.  See the flyers posted around the building.

All students are encouraged to keep track of the Guidance Office and Scholarship webpages for updates on important information on ACTs, college or military rep visits, college information and scholarship information and applications.  See Mrs. Stenger or Mrs. Dirks if you have any questions!

October 16– A rep from Mt Mercy University will be in the commons during lunch shifts.  Please stop by and say hi and ask any questions you may have!

November 11th – A rep from Hawkeye Community College will be in the commons during lunch shifts.  Stop by and say hi and ask any questions you may have.

Today’s Lunch:  Cheesy French bread pizza, lettuce w/romaine, fresh broccoli, banana, and milk.

Activities:          JV/V Football vs Anamosa 5:00/7:30 pm.

                                                IHSMA Marching Band Festival.             

                                            MHS Dance Team Show 8:00 am.
