There will be a Parent Meeting on Thursday, February 1st at 5:30 pm in Mr. Meshak’s room 312 regarding the Europe Trip.


The Dance Marathon is February 24th from 7-11 for high school students only. T-shirts are being sold for $15 now until February 2nd and is your admission into the dance.


Attention all students 9-12:  If you have invited a guest to the WPA dance on Friday, February 9th who is not a Monticello student, you must register your guest in the office by Thursday, February 8th at 3:15 pm.


Workplace Learning Connection staff will be in the Commons during lunch today to answer questions about job shadows and internships.


Reminder if you get a red Panther Positive Ticket from a teacher put that ticket in the jar in the office.  We are having our first drawing this coming Monday.


Mrs. Young will be in the commons during lunch today to offer assistance with your 2018-19 planning sheets.


Craig Stadtmueller from Kirkwood will be here today during both lunch shifts.  Kirkwood’s registration form is incorrect.  Three courses were omitted from the list of companion courses that should have been included – Environmental Science, US History to 1877, and Social Problems.  These courses would typically be selected by students who want to take the Arts & Sciences Liberal Arts transfer academy.


Attention artists:  See Mrs. Woodhouse for information on the contest to design a Google Doodle.  The winning entry receives a $30,000 scholarship and a $50,000 tech package for their school.

Reminder that 2018-19 registration forms are due in the office by 3:15 Tuesday, January 30th.



Counseler’s Office –

All students should check out the Counseling Office webpage.  You can find information on college visit days, college fairs, ACT dates and deadlines, the college rep schedule, and lots of scholarship and college information.  It changes daily and there are already upcoming deadlines, so check regularly.  If you have any questions, see Mrs. Stenger.


The Jack Recker Scholarship is now available.  Applicants must be pursuing a 2-4 year college education in the agriculture field.  Check the Local Scholarship webpage for the application.  Deadline is March 5, 2018.
