There will a Student Council meeting Wednesday, January 24th in Ms. Maher’s room at 7:30 am.

 

There will be a Junior Class Officers’ meeting on Friday, January 19th at 7:30am in Mr. Gilkerson’s room.

 

Any high school girl interested in going out for track needs to attend the signup meeting in Mr. Reade’s room after school on Monday, January 22nd.  There are a few activities going on that day, so if you can’t make it, please stop in some time to sign up.

 

There will be a Parent Meeting on Thursday, February 1st in Mr. Meshak’s room 312 regarding the Europe Trip.

 

The Dance Marathon is February 24th from 7-11. There will be a dance, games, and food. This is for high school students only. T-shirts are being sold now until February 2nd and are $15. The t-shirt is your admission into the dance. All money raised through admission goes to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital and the Children’s Miracle Network. We will have miracle families from the community coming to the event as guests.

 

Allen College is hosting a Health Career Exploration day on Friday, March 2nd.  Sophomores or juniors interested in attending the Career Day or a campus tour at Allen College, please check your email from Mrs. Stenger for more information.

 

Looking for senior volunteers to help serve at the Monticello School Foundation Dinner on Saturday, March 3rd at the Berndes Center.  If interested please contact Sarah Kraus.  You can also see Mrs. Young for more information.

 

Attention all students 9-12:  If you have invited a guest to the WPA dance on Friday, February 9th who is not a Monticello student, you must register your guest in the office.  There is a pad to write your guest’s name on along with a guest registration form.  The registration form must be signed by the guest’s principal and returned to the office by Thursday, February 8th at 3:15 pm.  Keep in mind that you may invite only one guest and your guests can not be a middle school student.

ACT Study Group students: Bring your practice scores to Mrs. Stenger and pick up your homework this week.

 

Reminder to the bowling team that you are dismissed at 2:30 to catch your bus to Manchester at the bowling alley.

 

Winter hitting for softball tonight from 7-8:30 at the Eastern Iowa sports facility.
